While I liked Hitchcock's movie "The Birds", and admittedly it is a classic in film history, to me somehow, it doesn't quite equal Daphne du Maurier's original tale. They are very different, almost unrecognizable, and the novel delivers it's horror much more /5. I love the history of birds since the dinosaur times and the special bird features that help them fly, sing, etc.

This book is a fun read and also kind of geeky in /5(17). The natural history makes birds and ornithology come alive.
